Student Alumni Ambassador Program
The Student Alumni Ambassador Program is a summer program here at USF Health. This position has historically been offered first to MSI students. However, in recent years we opened the opportunity to incoming medical students from the Honors College and were delighted to have encountered some really talented students. Students are chosen after an interview and selection process.
The students aid the USF Health Development and Alumni Relations office in the completion of key tasks essential to the growth of the alumni program. The students contact alumni by telephone, email and social media to inform them of upcoming MCOM alumni events and activities and work to secure current and complete contact information.
Student alumni ambassadors also spend four or more hours a week (up to 2 days a week) shadowing alumni. This is a great educational opportunity that allows them to gain experience in a variety of medical specialties while engaging alumni in supporting and educating our students.
