Alumni Reunion Weekend

Morsani College of Medicine alumni are celebrated at the annual Alumni Reunion Weekend. Past activities have included dinner on the Starship Yacht, a family day at the Florida Aquarium, USF Health Homecoming Tailgate, and an Inside Showcase event for the new Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute on Water Street.

Grand Opening: USF Health Morsani College of Medicine + Heart Institute in Water Street 
On January 8, 2020, USF Health students, staff, alumni, donors, and friends gathered at the new USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute to celebrate the grand opening of the first building to be completed in the Water Street District. 

Beyond Discovery: A Celebration of Giving

On February 28, 2020, more than 180 USF Health donors gathered at the new building for Morsani College of Medicine, Heart Institute, and soon-to-be Taneja College of Pharmacy for a celebration of giving. Guests were treated to a progressive dinner experience and open house with tour stops throughout the facility.

Past Alumni Events

Spring Lecture
In Spring 2019, Four-time New York Times bestselling author, Dr. David Perlmutter, spoke at the annual Spring Lecture, that nearly 100 USF Health alumni and friends attended. The lecture featured Dr. Perlmutter speaking about his new book Grain Brain and included a panel-led Q&A. A reception followed the lecture, where attendees could meet and have their books signed by Dr. Perlmutter. 

Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Orlando Morsani College of Medicine Alumni Reception

Hosted during the AAMC GIA conference, MD alumni and friends in the Orlando area gathered for a reception where they were able to reconnect with fellow alumni and hear an update on the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute from Dean Dr. Lockwood.

Peanuts & Cracker Jacks with the Dean

"Peanuts and Cracker Jacks with the Dean" was a local event to engage MD alumni and get the opportunity to hear updates on the USF Health Morsani College of Medicine and Heart Institute from Dean Dr. Lockwood cheering on the USF Baseball team at their game versus University of North Florida.

Jacksonville Area Morsani College of Medicine Reception

Medicine Alumni Regional Reception, hosted by Roger Greene, MD '87 and his wife, Nadine, at Ruth's Chris Steakhouse in Jacksonville allowed local MD alumni to reconnect with their fellow classmates. 

Past Virtual Events

Confronting COVID-19: A Virtual Panel with the Deans of USF Health 

USF Health Development and Alumni Relations hosted a quarterly virtual panel from May 2020 to March 2021 to hear professional perspectives on the coronavirus and what USF has been doing to fight COVID-19 in Tampa Bay and beyond, featuring Charles Lockwood, Morsani College of Medicine; Donna Petersen, College of Public Health; Usha Menon, College of Nursing; Kevin Sneed, Taneja College of Pharmacy.

COVID-19 Vaccines: Separating Fact From Fiction

Leaders from USF Health shared the latest information regarding the safety, science and effectiveness of the COVID-19 vaccines, featuring Kevin Sneed, PharmD, Dean of the Taneja College of Pharmacy and Senior Associate Vice President for USF Health; Kami Kim, MD, Director, Division of Infectious Diseases and International Medicine, Morsani College of Medicine.
