Mark Deutsch, MD '89
Dr. Deutsch was recently selected by his peers as a Top Doctor by Atlanta Magazine. He graduated from the University of South Florida College of Medicine at Tampa in 1989. He works in Atlanta, GA and 1 other location and specializes in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Deutsch is affiliated with Northside Hospital, Piedmont Fayette Hospital, Piedmont Henry Hospital and Southern Regional Medical Center. 

 

 

Ivy Faske, M.D. '84

Ivy Faske, MD, Class of 1984 has authored a book entitled, “They Do Come With Instructions: What parents need to know about the physiology, care and development of newborns and young children”. Dr. Faske is a pediatrician in South Florida and the Foreword of the book was written by Lewis A. Barness, M.D., founding chairs of Pediatrics at MCOM. Dr. Faske is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatrics, has been Chief of Pediatrics for 6 years, Palm Beach Gardens (Florida) Medical Center, is a Past-President of the Palm Beach County Medical Society, and Past-President of the Palm Beach County Pediatric Society. She currently resides with her husband in Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Max Feldman, M.D. '12

Dr. Feldman graduated from the University of Connecticut school of Engineering in 2007. He attended the University of South Florida College of Medicine graduating in 2012.

 

He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida. Dr. Feldman’s interests include preventative medicine, caring for the under-served, and medical education. Dr. Feldman will be seeing patients at the USF Morsani Center for Advanced Health Care.

 

  

  

 

Jessica Gosnell, M.D. '06

Dr. Gosnell (Pease-Campbell) completed her undergraduate training at Stetson University with the honors of Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa in 2002. She earned her medicine degree in 2006 at the University of South Florida, where she also completed residency in General Adult Psychiatry in 2010.  Dr. Gosnell worked for the Department of Veteran’s Affairs in the PTSD specialty clinic at the James A. Haley VA in Tampa from 2010-2012 and continued her service with the Department of Veteran’s Affairs at the VA Palo Alto in California as an

Inpatient Attending Psychiatrist, Assistant Director of Inpatient Mental Health, and Resident Educator affiliated with Stanford University from 2012-2014.  Following the birth of her daughter, Dr. Gosnell returned to Tampa Bay with her family and joined USF Physician Group in 2015. 

Dr. Gosnell is board certified in Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Her clinical interests include the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, and the use of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS).


Lynn Harman, M.D. '94

Dr. Harman and Ophthalmology Faculty Member, Curtis E. Margo, M.D., M.P.H., were featured in Pharos, the magazine of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical academic honor society.  Both of them are AOA members. The article is entitled, “The remarkable life of Erwin Schrodinger’s What is Life.”  It is a scholarly look at a lecture that Dr. Schrodinger presented several times and then published. The lecture contained some highly controversial statements on the importance of genes in determining characteristics prior to the discovery of DNA as the genetic substance.

Dr. Lynn Harman is an ophthalmologist in Tampa, Florida and is affiliated with multiple hospitals in the area, including All Children's Hospital and James A. Haley Veterans Hospital. She has been in practice for 21 years. She is one of 22 doctors at All Children's Hospital and one of 29 at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital who specialize in Ophthalmology.


Michael Martinez, M.D. '10

Dr. Martinez specializes in anesthesiology and pain management for patients with acute, chronic and cancer pain. He is 2005 graduate of The Citadel Military College of South Carolina where he received a bachelor of science, and earned a Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in 2010.

In June 2014, he completed his internship and anesthesiology residency at the University of Miami, Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then completed a one-year Fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, School of Medicine specializing in the multidisciplinary treatment of patients with acute, chronic and cancer pain.

Dr. Martinez holds both Florida and Alabama medical licenses, and is Board Certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

 

Byron Moran, M.D. '11

Byron Moran serves as Assistant Professor for General Internal Medicine and Associate Program Director for the Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship.  He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at USF in 2014.  A strong interest in orthopedics, athletics, as well as promoting active lifestyles in patients resulted in Dr. Moran completing a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of South Florida – Morton Plant Mease Fellowship in 2015. 

Dr. Moran’s research interests are in the areas of concussion, heat illness, and cardiac disease in athletes.  He also enjoys educating and working alongside students, residents and fellows.  Dr. Moran sees patients at the Morsani Center for Advanced Healthcare and serves as a team physician for USF athletics.    

    

Neil Thierry, M.D.

Neil A. Thierry, MD joined the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in the Diision of Psychiatry and Behavioral Medicine as an Assistant Professor in July, 2015. 

He completed his fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of South Florida in 2006. Dr. Thierry is board certified in General Psychiatry by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and will be seeing patients at The Silver Child Development Center.

  

 

Frederick Williams, M.D. '89

Dr. Frederick Williams was presented an award by the Palm Beach County Medical Society Services for his leadership role as Chair of the Byrnes Poster Symposium the last three years at the Society’s Annual Future of Medicine Summit.  Dr. Williams also sit on the Board of the Medical Society and is Chair of the Council on Medical Education.

 

 

 

  

 

David Winchester, M.D. '05

Dr. David Winchester, Assistant Professor of Medicine/Cardiology, received the 2015 Gerold L. Schiebler, M.D. Advocate for Medical Students Award, which honors the outstanding service and advocacy of an FMA physician on behalf of the FMA Medical Student Section.
